The texture comes from http://mayang.com/textures/

As for the procedure, at first I tried this technique I found on this Blender tutorial, where you use a from-view UV projection on camera mode from the top. However, most go boards have a curved end grain pattern, which was not accomplished this way. In order to achieve that, I simply applied a Photoshop filter to bend the wood grain on a section of the image. As for aligning the texture, I chose "Display Solid" in the Properties panel in Blender, and moved the appropriate faces in the UV editor until they more or less matched. It's not exact, but fairly close :)Andreu Cabréhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12285725971484110575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26966043014582376.post-91848377850893011072011-10-04T07:44:40.479-04:002011-10-04T07:44:40.479-04:00This is terrific! I have to know, however, where did you get the wood texture, how did you get the color from the endgrain to match the sides as well as you did?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26966043014582376.post-40407983096819104752011-06-21T01:46:05.816-04:002011-06-21T01:46:05.816-04:00Thanks!Thanks!Andreu Cabréhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12285725971484110575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26966043014582376.post-22853664497817565912011-06-20T21:40:04.200-04:002011-06-20T21:40:04.200-04:00looks awesome Andreu!
